I Want Everyone to Win American Idol
Perhaps they can split the prize? They all deserve it after the consistently great performances by all from week to week – and this week was no different.
I’m able to pick out my favorites from this week, but unlike in previous seasons, it’s very hard to settle on one overall season winner. They’re all extremely talented, consistent, and they all have their ‘pick me’ moments.
This week, in particular, was a stellar week. I absolutely LOVED the duet by Elise and Phillip. As happened last week, their voices are so well suited and they perform so well together. Elise may have chosen a song more suited to her talents, but Phillip absolutely did it justice. They are both so unique in their own way – but together they could be a power house. Maybe they could share the prize and team up???
I’ve just realized that the quality of the talent in a particular week can be gauged by the number of videos I post, and this week is a ‘four video’ week. I wanted to rate these according to which I liked better, but I can’t decide. They were all wonderful in their own way this week. Not one of the remaining contestants will disappear. I strongly believe they will all end up with amazing record deals.
One final word about Joshua this week. Although the judges gave him a standing ovation, I wasn’t quite as taken with his performance as I was with the ones I’ve posted here. His performance was great, but I lean more towards the artistic performances rather than the power performances. So I guess you could say I am biased in a certain way.

I was astounded after yesterday’s show, when Jessica Sanchez was to be eliminated. Now I am grateful that the judges didn’t waste their “save” option on any of the previous contestants that were eliminated. It’s a popularity contest at this point, with everyone being equally talented and entertaining. Jessica is still my favorite, though.
At times Jessica has been my favorite, but I am torn between several of them. I do think, however, that Hollie should have been the one eliminated this week. I’m wondering if Jimmy and the other mentors speaking so openly about wanting to sign her has worked against her in the end.
