I Just Watched ‘Canada’s Got Talent’ For the Last Time

I’ve had quite enough of Measha Brueggergosman. She’s opinionated, self-absorbed and rude. She’s made her bias toward opera singing so obvious that I don’t feel any other kind of singer has a chance as long as she’s a judge.

Personally, I don’t find any enjoyment in a lot of opera and I’m truly disappointed at the direction the show is taking because of her judging.

Measha, your opinion is not everything and please, please STOP speaking over the other judges. I’m much more interested in hearing what Stefan and Martin have to say because they put the contestants first and seem to try hard to not let their own biases color their judging.

As to the show itself, I must say that I am somewhat disappointed at the calibre of talent on the show and can only assume that it’s a result of the show being so new and the ‘word’ not getting out about the auditions.

Hopefully it will be better next year – a new judge in place of Measha and a much deeper pool of talent.

I know there’s more and better Canadian talent out there.
